Paste the rate SMS. Every price is updated and your stock gain shown.

When the oil company revises LPG prices, distributors get an SMS listing each product and its new rate. Typing those into a register is slow and easy to get wrong. In DeskGas you paste the SMS once.

What happens when you paste

  • DeskGas reads the agency name, the distributor code, the effective date and each product's price
  • An SMS for another code is refused, so you never load someone else's rates
  • The same SMS pasted twice is ignored
  • A product name it has not seen before is shown in amber for you to match once; it remembers
  • A preview shows old price, new price and change before anything is saved

The gain or loss on your godown stock

Filled cylinders in stock on the effective date are now worth more, or less. DeskGas multiplies the filled stock by the change for each product and shows it, for example "+₹11,832 on 1 Nov". The figure is part of your margin, shown separately so you can see how much of the month's profit came from a price revision.

A price card to share

Each revision makes a phone-size price card with your agency name, "IOCL rates effective" and the date, and every product with its new price and an arrow for the change. Download it or share it on WhatsApp. DeskGas never uses the oil company's logo.

Late pastes and mid-month revisions

Revisions can come on the 1st or in the middle of the month, and DeskGas keeps every version. If you paste a revision after days were already closed, it shows the difference for those days and saves it as a logged correction.

Questions distributors ask

Does it work for commercial and domestic?

Yes. Domestic and non-domestic sections of the SMS are both read, including 19 kg, 5 kg FTL and composite cylinders.

Is this only for Indane?

The SMS reader is built for the IOCL rate SMS used by Indane distributors. HP Gas and Bharat Gas are coming.
